(1) As used in this Chapter, the term “emergency call” means that occasion in which the ambulance is dispatched to the scene of an injured or sick individual for transportation to a hospital.

(2) As used in this Chapter, the term “transfer call” means that occasion when the ambulance is utilized for the purposes of transporting a patient from a hospital to another hospital or to a nursing home, or from a hospital to the residence of the patient and also means that occasion when the ambulance is utilized to transport a patient from one nursing home to another nursing home, from a residence to a nursing home, or from a nursing home to a residence.
