The city clerk shall also perform the following duties:

(1) Give notice of public hearings before the City Council as provided for by law;

(2) Serve as secretary-treasurer of Volunteer Firefighters Relief and Pension Board;

(3) Certify city streets as part of the highway system in accord with RCW 47.24.010 and provide notice of new or annexed city streets to the Whitman County Auditor;

(4) Serve as the Public Records Officer of the City in accordance with Chapter 42.56 RCW; and

(5) Any other duties as required by RCW 35A.12.020, state law or outlined in the city’s job description. (Ord. 18-1 §8, 2018).
