The critical area or buffer shall be identified with temporary signs prior to any site alteration. Such temporary signs may be replaced with permanent signs, as determined appropriate by the Director of Community Development. The Director of Community Development may also require that fencing be installed or native vegetation be planted or retained at a site to delineate and protect critical areas and/or their buffers.
