There is created a Parks and Recreation Commission. The commission shall consist of seven members appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the Council, from citizens of recognized fitness for such a position. The first appointed commissioners shall be appointed to fill terms as follows: three for one year; two for two years; two for three years. Thereafter, all appointments shall be for a term of three years. If a commissioner should resign before the expiration of his term, the Mayor, with consent of the Council, shall appoint a citizen to complete said term. (Ord. B-5 §1, 1972).
