5.45.010 Purposes and applicability.

(1) Purposes. The purposes of this Chapter are:

(a) to accomplish litter control and provide for the enforcement of litter control in the city; and,

(b) to place upon all persons within the city the duty of contributing to the cleanliness and appearance of the city in order to promote the public health, safety, and welfare and to protect the health, safety, and economic interests of the people of the city against unsanitary and unsightly conditions; and,

(c) to provide for the control of litter consistent with the intent of Chapter 70.93 RCW (Model Litter Control And Recycling Act).

(2) Applicability. The provisions of this Chapter shall be applicable to property located in all zone districts, except the zone district designated “WSU”. (Ord. 90-14 §1, 1990).
