Gas piping and/or fitting shall be performed by a licensed journeyman plumber or licensed HVAC technician who can demonstrate adequate training and experience with the installation of gas piping systems.

Gas appliance installation, limited to the maximum length of appliance flex connector allowed by the authoritative code, may be performed by the owner or appliance dealer. Appliance installation is still subject to the same permitting and inspections as gas piping. (Ord. 24-05 §2, 2024; Ord. 86-14 §3, 1986).
