(1) Identify and protect critical fish and wildlife habitat from destruction or encroachment of incompatible uses.

(2) Preserve natural wetlands that are important wildlife and game habitat or recreational areas.

(3) Protect life and property by avoiding inappropriate developments in areas susceptible to natural disasters and hazards, such as floodplains and steep slopes. (Ord. 16-3 §35, 2016).
