Regular scheduled air carrier aircraft are authorized by the FAA to make straight-in approaches on the runway most nearly aligned with the windtee, under VFR conditions, provided a ground observer and two way radio communications are used and aircraft making such straight-in approach shall give way to any other aircraft in the prescribed traffic pattern.
