The city attorney shall be appointed by the mayor, subject to confirmation by the City Council. Said appointment shall be made on the basis of ability and training or experience of the appointee in the duties the city attorney is to perform. The city attorney shall serve at the pleasure of the mayor. (Ord. 80-2 §3, 1980).
